World Book Day

World Book Day takes place on Thursday 1st March 2018, and we would like to invite you to join us in helping your child to make the most of this special occasion. World Book Day celebrates the joy and value of books and reading, especially for children.  To help get them started on their reading journey, every child receives a E1.50 Book Token that can either be exchanged for one of TEN special E1.50 World Book Day books or used to get E1.50 off any book costing E3.99 at the school’s Book Fair or  other book shops.  You can find out more about the books at worldbookday.com/books. LETNS will celebrate World Book Day with a huge range of events and activities. We are encouraging the children to dress up on Thursday 1st  March to celebrate W.B.D. You can join us in building your child’s enthusiasm for books well beyond World Book Day by reading together regularly and joining your local library if you are not yet members.  For more information about World Book Day and ideas on sharing books at home visit worldbookday.com.  Children are never too young to start their journey with books, and the benefits of reading are enormous – so we hope, like us, you will use World Book Day to celebrate it with your child.  See more information on sheet attached.

Junior Infants Vision Testing

Vision Testing for Junior Infants will take place tomorrow 22nd February 2018.

As with the hearing testing that took place last week it is not necessary for parents to be in attandance.

Star Dome

The Star Dome Planetarium was a great success and was a memorable experience for the children.   Many  thanks again to Yvonne 1st class for organising the event.

Yours Sincerely
