Parent Teacher Association

Our PTA (Parent Teacher Association) serves as a vital bridge between parents and educators, fostering collaboration and enhancing the overall educational experience for students. At its core, the PTA is a volunteer organisation comprising parents, teachers, and school staff working together to support and enrich the school community.

One of the primary functions of the PTA is to facilitate communication between parents and teachers. Monthly meetings provide a platform for open discussions on school policies, curriculum updates, and upcoming events. This exchange of information helps parents stay informed about their child’s education and promotes a sense of transparency within the school community.

Beyond communication, the PTA plays a crucial role in fundraising activities. These efforts generate additional resources to supplement the school budget, enabling us to enhance our children’s experience in the school. Projects like buying iPads for the computer room and upgrading the astro pitch are examples from the last few years. Fundraising events, such as our Valentines Day bake sale, Easter raffle, Walk in the Park and many more, not only generate funds but also contribute to a sense of community spirit and involvement.

In addition to fundraising, PTAs often coordinate volunteer initiatives. Parent volunteers assist with various school activities, including one to one reading, maths games, gardening and maintenance. This active parental involvement strengthens the connection between home and school, creating a collaborative environment that positively impacts a child’s educational journey.

Our PTA also organises educational workshops and seminars for parents, focusing on topics such as parenting skills, cycle safety and internet safety. These initiatives empower parents with the knowledge and tools to actively participate in their child’s education.
