Student Ethos Council – The Homeless Street Cafe

Dear Parents and Friends,

As a school we have decided to make some donations to the Homeless Street Café.  This charity is run by a group of volunteers.  They set up in town each Tuesday evening to give out hot food, sandwiches, treats, hot drinks etc. for the homeless people of Dublin. They are always looking for donations of food (biscuits, bars, fruit, drinks), toothbrushes, toothpaste, wipes, deodorant, men’s underwear and socks, tents, sleeping bags, shampoo, body wash, disposable cups, bowls and cutlery.  They will also accept €5 or €10 vouchers for Dunnes or Tesco etc.  We are asking families to send in what they can during the coming week, 9th – 13th December. We are particularly asking for smaller items if available.  Ruth has kindly offered to deliver whatever we get to the charity. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any cash.

Thank you so much for your help with this project.
